The Detroit Tigers are looking into an incident involving outfielder Anthony Gose and Triple-A manager Lloyd McClendon, a source told ESPN on Sunday.Gose and McClendon got into a heated argument in the dugout during the first game of a doubleheader for the Toledo Mud Hens on Saturday. According to The Toledo Blade, the argument prompted McClendon to remove Gose from the lineup in the third inning, replacing him with pinch hitter Jeff McVaney. The 25-year-old Gose, who began the season as the Tigers starting center fielder, did not show up at the ballpark for Sundays game after not being in the lineup for the second game Saturday. Goses personal items were not in his locker room after the game Saturday, according to the Toledo Blade. The Blade also reported that McClendon would not discuss the issue when asked about it after Saturdays game.Tigers brass is currently evaluating what to do next and will huddle with McClendon soon to determine the appropriate course of action and any disciplinary measures, sources told ESPN.com.Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said he had heard what happened but did not know the details.Anytime a player reacts that way to a manager, its a concern, but its certainly not anything that cant be dealt with or gotten past, Ausmus said.Asked if this is the first time this has happened with Gose, Ausmus replied: As far as I know, yeah. After making the club out of spring training and earning the starting gig in center -- in large part due to an injury to Cameron Maybin -- Gose has had a tough year. The former second-round pick was batting .209 in 30 games for the Tigers before being optioned to the minors in May.Since his demotion, he has struggled in Toledo as well, hitting .185 in 50 games for the Mud Hens.Ausmus said he understood that there may have been some frustration at play in Saturdays events.I think you have to understand the human side, the human element involved, the emotions involved, and those struggles play into his emotions obviously, Ausmus said.Prior to Saturdays incident, the Tigers signed veteran outfielder Alex Presley to a minor league deal. The 30-year-old Presley, who can play all three outfield positions, will likely report to Triple-A Toledo after the All-Star break. Balenciaga Triple S White Cheap . RIO DE JANEIRO -- The Olympic celebration for Spains womens basketball team is on. The Spaniards are guaranteed to receive the countrys first medal in the sport at the Rio Games.Theyre so excited the party might still be going on, even with Saturdays final looming.Alba Torrens and Astou Ndour each scored 14 points as Spain defeated Serbia 68-54 Thursday, and the Spaniards were barely able to contain their excitement as the final minutes ticked off the clock, dancing and hugging before running on the court to celebrate.Torrens struggled to put into English exactly how she felt about Spain finally being an Olympic medalist. Its something amazing, Torrens said. To win a medal is a dream.Spain will play either the U.S. or France in the gold medal game Saturday. In group play, Spain lost by 40 to the heavily favored Americans. After the final horn, the Spaniards took their time, soaking in the moment. They posed for group photos after the buzzer; about the only thing they didnt do was cut down the nets. Torrens said this is huge for Spain, which has worked so hard to bounce back after missing the 2012 London Games.Spain won the Eurobasket in 2013 and silver at the 2014 World Championships. This is the European nations fourth Olympics, and Spains best finish previously was fourth in 2008. Torrens said this teams accomplishments are shared with everyone over the past few years who worked so hard to return to the games.Today I think that it pays off, but how I say its not only that the people whos here, its from all the people who work in this team annd for Spain basketball, Torrens said.ddddddddddddSpain reached the gold medal game despite not having center Sancho Lyttle, who also plays for the WNBAs Atlanta Dream, due to broken bone in her right foot.I think people saw we didnt have Sancho they thought we couldnt be as good as wed otherwise be, said Spain guard Leticia Romero, who plays at Florida State. We proved that its not just one player. We fight with each other, for each other. We just show it.While Spain didnt seem too concerned about Saturday, neither did the Serbs -- but for different reasons.Several disappointed Serbia players sat on the court for a few minutes after the game as if their Olympics had ended. Spain led 20-9 after the first quarter and frustrated Serbia all game. Late in the third quarter Sonja Petrovics pass went off a teammates hands out of bounds. Petrovic kicked the Rio 2016 boxes bordering the court along the baseline -- smashing one into pieces. The Serbs are not done, they have one more game. The will play Saturday for a bronze medal, not bad for a country making its Olympic debut in this sport.I feel like we got to put this game out of our mind, said forward Danielle Page, who played in college in the U.S. at Nebraska. We have a chance to do something special and make history for Serbia. We need to focus on the opportunity we have rather than the opportunity we lost.---Online:AP Summer Games website: http://summergames.ap.org/ ' ' '
