TAMPA, Fla. -- New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is set to have his injured ankle examined next week. Jeter hasnt played this season after breaking his left ankle in the playoffs last year and having surgery. He sustained another fracture during his rehabilitation, and isnt expected back until after the All-Star break in mid-July. Jeter moved his rehab program on Thursday from New York to the Yankees minor league complex in Tampa, Fla. He recently had been working out at Yankee Stadium. The 13-time All-Star turns 39 this month. He will have a CT scan and be examined by Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte N.C. The team captain says he hopes to be cleared to increase his baseball activities. "Cant do anything different until I see the doctor, so absolutely no news," Jeter said.
